Mark Your Calendar
The first annual Autumn’s In The Air Fall Festival will take place on Oct. 15, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You’ll head to the Governor Richard Caswell Memorial State Historic Site for fun and excitement. Of course, this festival is free for everyone. However, there will be some games and events that require fees. In addition, there will be great vendors from the community there that you won’t want to miss.
Something for Everyone
In addition to the wonderful vendors, there will be bounce houses and a gaming truck. The bounce houses for the kiddos will be free, but the gaming truck will require purchasing a $5 wristband. Other free activities include a Hay Maze for kids and custom face painting. And don’t miss your chance to play gellyball by getting your $5 band for unlimited playtime.
A Festival of Food
A good fall festival must have food, and you’ll find plenty of delicious choices here. You can choose from tons of treats, from refreshing beverages to sweet ice cream. In fact, there are more vendors signing up to join the roster of yummy food choices for the festival. And with all the great games and activities, you’ll need to visit the food vendors to fuel up.
Get Involved in Your Kinston Community
Locals know that Kinston is a wonderful place to live. You’ll find local community vendors at the Autumn’s In The Air Fall Festival. In fact, the Kinston Fire Department and the Predator or Prey Wildlife Sanctuary will be there to connect with people. In addition, the Lenoir County SPCA will be hosting a pet adoption event. Establishing a Tradition
This festival is happening for the first time this year, but the hope is that it will become an annual tradition. The CSS Neuse Gunboat Association Inc. hopes to continue serving the community by sponsoring this event as well as other outreach programs. Established in 1976, the CSS Neuse Gunboat Association has helped preserve history and make it available to the public. The Autumn’s In The Air Fall Festival is a way for the Kinston community to celebrate the past, present, and future, as well as the changing seasons. Don’t miss the start of a great tradition; make plans to be there on Oct. 15!
