Whether you’re looking to get fit for the summer or just want a way to stay in shape year-round, the Kinston Community Center offers a wealth of aerobic classes that can help you lose weight, strengthen your core, tone your muscles, and improve mobility.

Land Fitness Classes
Zumba With Jerome – Get your heart pumping with this international fitness sensation. Zumba With Jerome is a fun, effective class appropriate for most ages. With colorful rhythms and high energy beats, this class offers a fun, community-driven option to stay fit and healthy!
All Levels Yoga – You don’t have to be a master level yogi to get the benefits from this class. All Levels Yoga is a great way to improve strength, mobility, and flexibility all while bringing body, mind, and soul to a peaceful place.
Core Zone With Derrell – Designed to build, sculpt, and strengthen your entire core, this class features both body weight and equipment exercises that will help you burn fat and build muscle.
HIT With Derrell – High-Intensity Interval Training (or HIT) is structured to feature fast-paced, intense exercises with short rest breaks in between sets. This class will work every muscle in your body! Can be done with or without weights.
Boot Camp With Derrell – Challenge your body with this hard-hitting class, offered every Saturday from 9:30 am – 10:30 am.
Aqua Fitness
Please note: all Aqua Fitness classes take place inside a pool.
Aqua Tai Chi With Laverne – Relax your mind, ease your stress, and sooth your body with this ancient martial art technique. This class is perfect for improving mobility and range of motion.
Fibro H20 With Laverne – This class is designed to help those with Fibromyalgia. Immerse yourself in the soothing warm water and work to ease soreness, aches, and tenderness.
Hydro Fitness With Stewart – Perfect for all ages and fitness levels, this class features fun aerobic exercises in the shallow end of the pool, offering added resistance for a great workout.
Aquatic BHK With Laverne – A perfect class for those with sore backs, hips, or knees who are looking to improve their range of motion and mobility.
Deep Water With Laverne – This unique experience promises excellent results for those of all fitness levels. This is a fantastic, slightly challenging class for burning fat and toning muscles.
Aqua Arthritis With Laverne – Crafted for those suffering from arthritis, this class features warm water exercises to help soothe joint & muscle pain, as well as fatigue.
