Even if you’re not a morning person, you probably realize how important it is to get your day off to a good start. That’s exactly why you’re going to want to come out to the Friday Morning Coffee and Paddle. There’s nothing like a hot beverage and some exercise to start your day, and that’s exactly what you’ll get when you come out to this event. The next one is taking place on Friday, Aug. 16, and you’ll want to be there bright and early at 7 a.m. Interested in what this event is all about? Keep reading to learn more, and then get ready to come out to sip and paddle.
Get Your Coffee
If you’re like a lot of people out there, you need a good cup of coffee to start your day. Even if you’re not that much of a coffee person, it’s still nice to start your day off with a warm beverage. Either way, if you want to check out this event, you’re going to meet at Blackbeard Coffee Roasters. This place has some of the best coffee in town, so you know you’re going to have something delicious to sip on while you listen to the brief orientation before you paddle.
After you have your coffee, you’ll have the energy you need to get on the water and start paddling. That’s great news because everyone will meet at the Town Common boat ramp at 7:30 a.m. sharp. Then, you can paddle around for an hour and a half before the event ends at 9 a.m. at Town Common. During that time, you’ll get to enjoy nature and get a great workout in. What more could you want from your morning?

What You Need to Know
The fee for this activity is $25. Wondering what that will get you? It includes a free coffee or other beverage from Blackbeard, as well as a rental of a kayak or a SUP board. Have your own boat or board you want to bring with you? Then you only have to pay a $15 fee (but you still get your free coffee). Oh, and you get your own dry bag or box that will keep your belongings dry even when you’re in the water. Since you get a guided tour, this is a great deal.
