Whether you’re a regular runner or you’re just getting started with your fitness journey, it can sometimes be challenging to motivate yourself to run as much as you want. But when you have your eye on a goal, it can be quite a bit easier. That’s exactly why you’ll want to consider participating in the Mother Earth Brewing Ironclad Half-Marathon and 5k. Race Details

This running event is going to be held on Saturday, Oct. 19, so mark your calendars now. Head to 400 E. Grainger Ave. in Kinston, North Carolina, by 7:30 a.m. if you plan to participate. The half-marathon will begin at 7:30 a.m., and it costs $55. Don’t want to run that far? That’s no problem. You can also participate in the 5k. That race begins at 7:45 a.m., and it only costs $25 to participate. There are a limited number of spots available, so make sure you register as soon as possible once you decide that you want to be a part of the fun.

Prepare Yourself for the Race

Some people are just going to want to attend to get a bit of a workout in. But for those who are trying to beat their best time, preparing ahead of the race is always a good idea. Make sure you hydrate yourself the week before the race and try to eat plenty of healthy food. You don’t want to eat a lot right before the race, but you might want a quick bite to eat in the morning. Oh, and don’t forget to break in your shoes before the big day.
