Gather Your Ingredients
Make sure you have all the ingredients you need for this meal before you get started. Here’s what you should have on hand:

- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- 2 tablespoons cubed, cold salted butter
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- salt and pepper

Now that you’ve gathered all your ingredients, it’s time to throw them all together. Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees, and then spray a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray. Place the chicken breasts on the pan, and season with salt, pepper, and olive oil. Bake the chicken for about 45 minutes, and when it’s done, take it out and shred it with forks.
Put your broth in a pot on the stove, and start your dumplings. Combine the flour, baking powder, and cubed butter in a bowl, making sure it’s well incorporated. Pour in the milk and mix that in too. Then, add some flour to your counter so you can make the dumplings.
Roll out the dumpling dough, so it’s about a quarter of an inch thick. Then, start cutting square dumplings with a knife. Dust them with flour as you go so they don’t stick together when you place them in the pot. Add your shredded chicken and dumplings to the boiling broth. Allow it to cook for about 15 to 20 minutes, stirring frequently.
When your sauce has thickened, you’ll know it’s time to eat! Just make sure your dumplings are cooked through before you dig in. Enjoy!
