Since 2004, Pride of Kinston has held a summer concert series that has entertained thousands in beautiful Pearson Park. When the new executive director, Leon Steele, assumed his new role, this concert series, Sand in the Streets, was rebranded to Kinston SummerFest.
Kinston, NC Summerfest continues to showcase a diverse selection of the finest talents from North Carolina. The Summerfest Lineup is amazing and features Bounce!, Big Joe Maher & the Dynaflows, TrainWreck, Main Event and last but not least, Liquid Pleasure which is one of the best around.
This is the hippest free outdoor concert festival and is part of the Pride of Kinston’s economic package to revitalize our historic downtown. Kinston Summerfest attracts thousands of people from Eastern North Carolina to shop and dine in our walk-friendly historic commercial district.
Pearson Park is so cool and is the site of the Kinston Summerfest. A block away, there are nationally recognized restaurants, bars, shops, and boutique hotels. There will be about twenty sponsors around this area with some really cool exhibits showing you their STUFF.
This event is fun for all ages and there is a really neat playground for kids. There are sponsorship levels available too if you want to help support.
